ONLINE PRIVACY STATEMENT:

Please read this Statement carefully, as any use of the Site constitutes your agreement to all of our Online Terms and Conditions, including but not limited to this Statement. This Privacy Statement is part of, and is incorporated into the TECU Account-holders Membership and Account Agreement and our Online Terms and Conditions.

When you visit our web site we may place a cookie on your hard drive, that is, a piece of data that a web site can send to your browser, which is then stored on your computer. We may use cookies to customize your web site experience. As you visit our Site, our web server also recognizes what browser you are using. We currently collect aggregate information about the use of our Site that does not personally identify you. Various parts of our Site allow you to submit information to us via e-mail. We collect the e-mail addresses of those who send us e-mail and the information provided in the e-mail.

Security and Attribution
You communicate with our computer by using your computer's web browser. Some areas of our Web Site are secured in order to obtain personal information for member transactions. We only support browsers that use Secure Sockets Layer ("SSL") 3.0 (or higher). You may need to update your browser occasionally to use the Site.

SSL is intended to help ensure that:

  1. The information you send us will not be read by others, and
  2. You are in fact dealing with TECU or one of it's authorized service providers, instead of a site impersonating us.

Web Access Users
Web Access Authorization Codes ("Authorization Codes") for access to your account via remote services are for security purposes. Your code should not be stored on your computer and should not be the same as any of your other codes or passwords. You will be better protected if you change your authorization code(s) frequently and do not use the same authorization code for any other Internet site. DO NOT DISCLOSE OR OTHERWISE MAKE YOUR AUTHORIZATION CODE(S) AVAILABLE TO ANYONE. IF YOU AUTHORIZE ANYONE TO USE YOUR AUTHORIZATION CODE(S), THAT AUTHORITY MAY BE ATTRIBUTED TO AND OBLIGATE YOU. If you are ever uncomfortable with reaching us electronically, you may instead use traditional methods of reaching us such as using the telephone, U.S. mail, or visiting any of our Financial Centers (as long as the service is available through those methods).

Email Security
Regular Internet email is not secure. Various parts of our Site allow you to submit information to us by email. You should use them to provide information that is non-sensitive and non-confidential. We ask that you do not provide personal or account information through e-mail or request information from us that is confidential or sensitive. If you do request sensitive or confidential information from us via unsecured Internet email, you need to understand that our response to your request will be by insecure Internet email and give us permission to provide the information to you that way. As unsecured Internet email is not secure, you accept the risks that your messages sending us information or our responses may be intercepted or altered. We strongly urge you not to use this means of communications with us that is confidential or sensitive. You may also contact us by phone, mail, or by visiting any of our Locations.

Children's Online Privacy
From our Web sites, we do not knowingly collect or use personal information from children under 13, if we become aware that we have obtained it, we will delete it.

Your consent to that Statement does not include an opportunity to decline to receive information covered by that Statement.

Changes
We reserve the right to change this Statement from time to time, however, so you agree to check the Statement periodically to make sure you remain comfortable with it. Nothing in this Privacy Statement affects our ability to collect, combine, use, verify, retain, and report, including sharing with our regulators, information submitted in connection with the provision of products and services.
